Lots of new items arriving in the store daily! This is just a small sample!

Here is a sweet Annie shelf sitter, with a little prim heart, and duck decoy.

This is a sweet little child’s watering can! Isn’t the color and graphics great?

Old boxes make such awesome display pieces, and with a dash of color it is very sweet and primitive all at the same time!

Have an awesome day!

For the Love of Pyrex

Back in the day I had several sets of Pyrex, but they were the green and gold sets. Some of it made the trip to Colorado with me 20 years ago, and some didn’t.

As a mom with young children, as most of you know, you use plastic for many years. My girls are grown and gone, and John is no longer a baby so guess what – this mom has started a small collection of Pyrex again!

I sure would love to come across a few Pyrex pitchers and glasses like the set below. How awesome would these be in Esther (my 1960 Forester travel trailer)!

I think that this is one of my favorite patterns. I just love the colors – and yes, we have a few pieces in the store!

We have many complete sets, and single pieces if you’re looking to add to your collections, or start a new collection!

We will be doing a few articles on Pyrex. Check back for more info on it’s history and how to bring back the luster!

Have an awesome day!

Spring is just around the corner and I have such a love of galvanized tubs, buckets, chicken feeders, and chicken water’s (and yes, we have many at the store already), that I am going to share some of my favorite uses!

This would look so cute on a large farm table.

And for those of you that do not garden – here are a few ideas for you also!

This is a cute bar – you can also use an old sewing machine cabinet and add the bucket, or attach the wash tub to an old sewing machine cast iron base.

This little table is so cute, and creates an extra storage area. If you need extra seating, add a cushion and you have a chair / ottoman with extra storage.

As this shows, there is so many ways to use galvanized items in the house for storage!

There are so many creative ways to use galvanized containers for. Please show us your creative uses!

Everyone that sees Winston in the store just adores him, so I thought that I would start to share adorable (I think anyway) pics of him!

Story on this pic – we were camping and he wasn’t ready to go back to camp, so he decided that if he turned his back on me, he couldn’t hear me! Silly dog!

Drying Herbs

Happy Wednesday – A few days ago we share an idea on how to grow herbs in your kitchen, today we are showing you how to dry those herbs you’re growing! and don’t forget you can always use them fresh!

Air dry –

Drying in the sun or outdoors. Cut the herbs when the dew has dried off them. Tie into a bundle with a rubber band. Keep the leaves and flowers facing downward. Hang somewhere on the porch or off a hanger in a spot that gets full sun. Dry outdoors inside a paper bag. Remove when dried.

Oven-dry –

Place herb leaves or seeds on a cookie sheet, 1 inch deep or less. Put herbs in an open oven on low heat – less than 180 degrees F – for 2-4 hours. To see if the herbs are dry, check to see if they leaves crumble easily.

Have an awesome day! More soon!
